Bacon Swiss Chicken and Mushroom

So simple... so DELICIOUS!

ingredients

  • 3 slices of bacon crisply cooked, crumbled and drippings reserved
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 oz can sliced mushrooms drained
  • 10.75 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 6 slices of Swiss cheese

directions

  1. Pour your reserved bacon grease in a skillet and heat up over medium heat
  2. Place your chicken breasts in the warmed grease and cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly golden (turning once)
  3. Spray your crock pot with cooking spray
  4. Put your chicken in your crock pot
  5. Cover with your mushrooms
  6. Pour your soup in your skillet, warm through, then pour over your chicken
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, check with a meat thermometer to know when the chicken is done
  8. Place a slice of Swiss on top of each chicken breast, sprinkle with bacon, turn heat up to high and cover and cook for 10-15 minutes more until the cheese is melted
