                        ingredients
                        
- 4 – 5 lbs Yukon gold potatoes
 
- 3 Tbs butter
 
- 1 Tbs Onion powder
 
- 1 Tbs Garlic powder (or 3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced)
 
- 3 Tbs flour
 
- 1 cup chicken broth
 
- 2 cups of whole milk
 
- 1 tsp salt
 
- 1/2 tsp pepper
 
- 2 tsp Herbs
 
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar
 
- 1/2 cup parmesan
 
                     
                    
                        directions
                        
- Peel your potatoes and slice them about 1/8" (thin)
 
- Put butter and flour into a saucepan over med/high heat and cook for 2 minutes.  (this cooks out the flour taste)
 
- Then add all the rest of the ingredients (except the Cheeses, and the potatoes you just sliced of course)
 
- Cook and stir until it thickens.
 
- Preheat oven to 400F
 
- Grease a baking dish and fill with HALF of the sliced potatoes
 
- Pour half the sauce over the top of the potatoes.
 
- Top that with 1 cup of cheddar and 1/2 cup of Parmesan
 
- Place the rest of your potatoes over the cheese and repeat the layers one more time.
 
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
 
- Uncover and bake for another 25 minutes.
 
- Make sure it's cooked through and ENJOY!!
