Italian Cheddar Pasta

A great alternative to a former Hamburger Helper favorite! (Cheesy italian shells)

ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef (more or less if you like),
  • 2 cups of milk,
  • 3/4 cup of water,
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (more or less if you like),
  • 8 oz of tomato sauce or paste,
  • 1 1/4 cups of pasta of your choice,
  • 1 tablespoon of corn starch,
  • 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning,
  • 1 teaspoon of salt,
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar,
  • 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt,
  • dash of Parmesan (optional).

directions

  • mix together 1 tablespoon of corn starch, 1 tablespoon of Italian seasoning, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of sugar, 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt, and 1 teaspoon of garlic in a small bowl.
  • Brown ground beef and drain excess grease
  • Add 2 cups of cold milk.
  • Add in the seasoning mix and stir until evenly mixed in.
  • Add 3/4 of water and 1 1/4 cups of pasta.
  • Add in 8 oz of tomato paste or sauce.
  • Cook on medium for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  • Add in cheddar cheese and Parmesan cheese and stir until well mixed.
  • Continue cooking another 5-10 minutes until sauce is thick and pasta is cooked to preference.
